## Lemon Cash

**Lemon Cash** is a leading fintech company in Argentina. It integrated Kleros to resolve user transaction disputes as the final layer of its customer experience process.

**Challenge.** Lemon Cash handled a high volume of low-value customer disputes. Users saw internal resolution as biased, and escalation to regulatory bodies (such as COPREC) or courts was costly, slow, and damaging to the customer relationship whatever the outcome.

**Solution.** Kleros was integrated through a formal agreement. When a customer is not satisfied with the initial support response, the case is escalated to Kleros. Both sides submit evidence, and a panel of independent evaluators decides against the agreed Dispute Policy within days. Lemon commits to comply with the decision, while the user keeps the right to go to court or a regulator (see [Consumer law](/enterprise/legal#consumer-law)).

**Results:**

| Metric | Result |
| - | - |
| Cases resolved | 2,500+ |
| Customer retention after a complaint | 78% |
| Company win rate | 90% |
| Cases escalated to courts or regulators | 0% |
| Customer lifetime value increase per case | About USD 100 |

Customer retention stayed high even though the company won 90% of disputes, because users trusted the independence and transparency of the process.

| Parameter | Detail |
| - | - |
| Integration type | Recognition of Jurisdiction (RoJ) |
| Started as | Free 3-month pilot with consultative rulings |
| Status | Ongoing |
| Regulatory alignment | Resolution No. 893/2025 (Argentina) |

The first dispute on Kleros V2 on Arbitrum was a Lemon consumer dispute. See [Research Case Studies](/research/case-studies).

## MetLife Mexico

**MetLife Mexico** ran a pilot with Kleros to resolve insurance claim disputes, with exceptionally high voluntary adoption.

**Challenge.** Payout disputes between claimants and MetLife's internal teams were perceived as conflicted, and unresolved disputes carried regulatory and reputational risk.

**Solution.** Kleros was used for several internal claims. Users with eligible disputes were offered access to the platform, and independent evaluators reviewed the claim evidence against the policy terms and the applicable law to decide whether the claim should be paid.

| Metric | Result |
| - | - |
| User adoption | 100% of eligible users chose to use the tool |
| Ruling type | Started consultative, then moved to a binding stage |
| Status | Completed |

The 100% adoption rate shows high perceived value among policyholders: users actively chose to submit their disputes rather than pursue other channels.

## Judiciary of Mendoza

The **Judiciary of Mendoza** adopted Kleros in a consultative capacity, becoming the first Argentine judicial body to formally use the platform. It was also Kleros's first collaboration with a government entity.

**Challenge.** The Judiciary wanted a more accessible, community-grounded perspective when adjudicating neighbourhood and small consumer disputes.

**Solution.** Kleros was introduced in a consultative role for the Peace Court in [Lavalle](https://jusmendoza.gob.ar/avanza-la-experiencia-de-kleros-en-el-departamento-de-lavalle/), a town in Mendoza, formally established by an administrative resolution of the Supreme Court of Mendoza. Independent evaluators issue non-binding recommendations that help the local court reach community-grounded decisions, while judicial authority is preserved.

| Parameter | Detail |
| - | - |
| Integration type | Consultative, judicial |
| Public reception | Positive |
| Process improvement | Positive |
| Status | Ongoing |

## Municipality of Junín

The **Municipality of Junín** signed a formal agreement with Kleros Cooperative to integrate Kleros into the dispute process of its OMIC (Municipal Consumer Protection Office), the first agreement of its kind at municipal level.

**Challenge.** The OMIC handles citizen complaints against businesses in the municipality. The existing process was slow, paper-based and required in-person attendance, creating barriers for citizens and delays for businesses.

**Solution.** Kleros became the resolution layer for consumer protection disputes. Citizens file complaints through a digital form, businesses are notified digitally, and independent evaluators issue a resolution within days. If the ruling favors the citizen and the business does not comply, sanctions under consumer protection law apply. The panel is made up exclusively of Argentine lawyers whose credentials are attested on-chain with Soulbound Tokens, and its reasoned opinions help the office manage a growing caseload.

| Parameter | Detail |

| Integration type | Municipal consumer protection |
| Case types | Consumer protection disputes |
| Status | Active |
