## What Drives the Difference

**Speed.** Evaluators work under fixed, immutable deadlines. Once a case is submitted and the 24-hour review window closes, the panel decides within 3 days. Total time from submission to resolution is typically under 5 days.

**Cost.** The cost is fixed and charged per case resolved. There are no legal representation fees, no court filing costs, and no administrative overhead from in-person proceedings. During the pilot phase the platform is free. See [Getting Started](/enterprise/getting-started#cost-model).

**Impartiality.** Evaluators are selected independently and at random from a verified pool. They do not represent Kleros, the organization or the claimant, and their compensation is tied to performing their role correctly.

**Consistency.** All cases are resolved against the same [Dispute Policy](/enterprise/how-it-works#the-dispute-policy) on a single platform, with no variation between regional offices, individual case managers or local legal interpretations.
