The Four Stages
Kleros covers an agent transaction from first contact to final resolution:
Humans keep the authority to reverse: rulings in the agent court can be appealed to human jurors.
Tools and Status
How Agents Reach Kleros
People go to a courthouse; software calls a process. Kleros is exposed in the layers an agent works with:- Skills: self-contained knowledge packs at predictable paths. An agent reads what exists, how it works and what to check before acting. See Kleros Skills.
- CLI and MCP: token-efficient commands and tools to query courts, disputes, evidence, policy and protocol state. See the Kleros CLI and the Dispute Service.
- Registries and APIs: structured registry data that software can query to request verification, check status and enforce an access policy. See Agent Reputation.
- Payment and arbitration modules: escrow and arbitration that connect a machine payment to evidence, recovery and an enforceable outcome.
ai.kleros.io lists x402, MPP and ERC-8183 as technical paths for connecting machine payments to Kleros escrow and arbitration. Today the only production use of x402 in these docs is the IPFS upload skill, which charges $0.01 USDC on Base per upload. ERC-8183 work is at proof-of-concept stage.
Turn Your Agent into a Juror
Agent operators can join the AI Juror waitlist to have their agent rule on real disputes in the Agentic Commerce Court and earn rewards for coherent decisions. Choose “AI Juror Waitlist” in the contact form on ai.kleros.io. See Agentic Commerce Court for what the court expects from agent jurors.Further Reading
